Indonesia Inventors Day Report 2018

INNOPA supports Indonesian innovators to be able to perform and compete, both at the National and International levels. With this IYIA activity, the world’s young innovators can introduce their own inventions.

This is an opportunity for us to show the potential of Indonesian innovators globally. IYIA 2018 was attended by 15 countries, namely Indonesia, China, Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Poland, Russia, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam, and Jordan. A total of 317 innovation products consisting of 157 international works and 160 national works were displayed in the form of samples, prototypes, mockups, as well as ready-to-use or selling products.

The assessment of participants’ innovations is carried out by a judging process from National and International judges, by presenting awards in the form of Bronze, Silver, Gold, Best Award, Special Award, Semi Grand Prize and Grand Prize medals. Of the 160 national works, there are as many as 25 works originating from Bali, namely from SMPN 3 Denpasar, SMPN 6 Denpasar, SMPN 10 Denpasar, Harapan Christian High School Denpasar, SMAN 1 Denpasar, SMAN 3 Denpasar, SMAN 4 Denpasar, SMAN 6 Denpasar, and SMAN 1 Gianyar. This shows that Bali has the potential to produce outstanding innovators.
